Parents' guide

Rage Launcher is the app players use to start Minecraft on Rage PvP. Its Friends tab lets a player add other Rage Launcher players, see when they’re online, invite them into a game, and send short messages.

• Messages can only be sent between players who have both accepted each other.
• Links, social handles, phone numbers, email addresses and questions like “how old are you” are blocked. Swear words are hidden.
• Only friends can see whether a player is online and which Rage server they’re on.
• Messages are deleted after 30 days.
• Players banned on Rage PvP can’t use Friends. Muted players can’t send messages.
• Every chat has Block and Report buttons. Reports go straight to our staff with the recent messages attached.

In Rage Launcher, open Friends, then Parent controls and privacy. Set a 4 to 6 digit PIN, then choose:

• Chat: on, quick messages only (preset phrases like “GG” and “Rematch?”), or off;
• Friend requests: allowed or not;
• Friends: on or off entirely.

The settings are saved on our servers against the player’s Minecraft account, so reinstalling the launcher or using another computer doesn’t undo them. Changing or removing them needs the PIN. If you forget the PIN, open a ticket in our Discord at discord.gg/ragepvp and we’ll reset it once we’ve confirmed the account.

In Rage Launcher, open Friends, then Parent controls and privacy, then Delete my Friends data. This removes friends, requests, messages, invites and settings straight away. If parent controls are on, the PIN is needed.

You can also ask us to do it: open a ticket in our Discord at discord.gg/ragepvp with the player’s Minecraft username. Reports other players made about the account are kept for safety reasons.

Players sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft, on Microsoft’s own website. Rage Launcher never sees the password. Microsoft family settings still apply to the Minecraft account.
