End User License Agreement
Last updated: 24 October 2026
What this covers
This agreement is between you and Snugbeast (“we”). It covers the software we give you: Rage Launcher, and Rage Guard, the Fabric mod the launcher installs into your game. Together we call them “the Software”. Installing or running the Software means you accept this agreement. If you don’t accept it, uninstall the Software.
The Terms of Service cover our website and online features, and the Privacy Policy explains what data the Software sends us. All three apply together. If this agreement and the Terms disagree about the Software itself, this agreement wins.
Your license
We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive license to install the Software on computers you own or control, and to use it to play Minecraft. You can’t transfer it to someone else. We can end it under the section on ending this agreement below. You’re getting a license, not buying a copy, so we keep every right we haven’t given you.
What you can't do
- Copy, sell, rent, or share the Software, or host it for download anywhere else.
- Take it apart, decompile it, or try to pull out its source code, except where the law says you may do that no matter what a contract says.
- Get around, switch off, or fake the checks in Rage Guard or the launcher, for example the mod and resource pack checks that protect Rage servers.
- Tamper with the updater, the signed update files, or the connection to our services.
- Use the Software to cheat, to harass anyone, or to overload or attack our services or another player’s computer.
- Remove our copyright, trademark, or “not an official Minecraft product” notices.
Server protection and what it checks
Rage Guard exists to keep unfair modifications off Rage servers. By using the Software you agree that it may look at the mods and resource packs in your profile, compare them with our blocklist, remove files that aren’t allowed, refuse to join a protected server when something isn’t allowed, and report what it found to us. It may also check public chat lines on Rage servers for rule-breaking when chat checking is on. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is sent and for how long we keep it.
Updates
The Software updates itself. New versions download quietly in the background and install the next time you open the launcher. Some updates, such as security fixes, may install sooner and without asking. We can add, change, or remove features at any time, and an old version may stop working with our services once a newer one is out.
Your Minecraft account and offline play
You need your own legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition to play online. The launcher signs you in through Microsoft. It never sees or stores your Microsoft password, and your sign-in stays encrypted on your own computer. You’re still bound by the Minecraft End User License Agreement and Mojang’s usage guidelines when you play.
With no internet connection the launcher can still start the game, but only for worlds on your computer. Multiplayer servers won’t connect until you’re back online.
Worlds you share with friends
The Software can open the world you’re playing to your Rage friends. The world runs on your computer, and the relay only passes traffic between you and the friends on your list. If you leave the world or close it, everyone connected is disconnected. You decide who is on your friends list, so you’re responsible for what happens in a world you open. We don’t back up your worlds and we can’t restore them, so keep your own copies of anything you care about.
Cloud profiles
Profiles you save to the cloud hold settings and a list of mods, never the files themselves, and there is a cap on how many you can keep and how big they can be. Mods, packs and worlds stay on your computer and come back from their original sources when you set up a new PC. We can delete cloud data that breaks those limits.
Third-party software and services
The Software works with things we don’t own, and their own terms apply to them:
- Minecraft, owned by Mojang Synergies AB and Microsoft.
- Mods, resource packs and shaders from Modrinth or CurseForge. Their authors set the license, and we don’t guarantee any of them.
- The Fabric loader and Fabric API, which are open source.
- Spotify, if you connect it. The in-game player only controls your own Spotify app, you need your own Spotify account, and controlling playback needs Spotify Premium. Spotify is not affiliated with us.
- Discord, if you turn on the Discord activity display.
Open source parts of the Software stay under their own licenses, and nothing here takes away the rights those licenses give you.
Who owns what
We own the Software, its design, and its code. You own your worlds, your screenshots and your settings. Minecraft and everything in it belongs to Mojang and Microsoft.
NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the Software. We can end your license, and your use of the online features, if you break this agreement, if you’re banned from Rage, or if we stop offering the Software. Sections that should survive, such as ownership and the limits on liability, do.
No warranty
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Games can crash and worlds can corrupt. Back up what matters to you.
Limit on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Snugbeast isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost progress, arising from the Software. Where the law doesn’t allow a limit, such as for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence, the limit doesn’t apply. Some places don’t allow certain limits, so part of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, regardless of conflict of law rules.
Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement. A material change shows up in the “last updated” date above, and if you keep using the Software after that, you accept the new version.
